Will you forgive a man that stole 4 years of your life?

Life is full of turns and surprises. You just never know! This is why it is imperative we must always do to others what we want others to do unto us.

Jameel McGee was robbed of four years of his life after he was arrested in Benton Harbor, Michigan in 2006 and locked behind bars for a crime he never committed. He was framed for possession of drugs with the intent to distribute.  Andrew Collins, the arresting officer, maliciously framed McGree as a drug dealer and tampered with evidence that would have cleared and set McGee free.

Like the popular saying ‘Everyday for the thief, but one day for the owner.” Collins numerous instances of falsification, theft and planting drugs on innocent people eventually caught up with him. He was sentenced to 18 months behind bars while McGee and the other victims Collins wrongfully sent to jail were released. “In my mind now, as I look back, I was as low as you can get as a police officer” he told a CBS reporter during a recent interview.

Although McGee was a free man after Collins’ imprisonment, he was bitter and angry toward the man that did such a terrible thing to him.

“My only goal was to seek him when I got home, and to hurt him,” McGee says. At the time, forgiveness was not an option.
