“Tonight I was getting gas and in front of me on the other side of the pump, a mother and her son pulled up. The son (probably 10) went in to prepay right before I did, and when I came out to my car he was putting the nozzle in and clicking it locked so he could get back inside his car to wait. As I reached my car and saw his mom looking at me, and saying something to him. He got out and approached me and said “Ma’am it’s too cold, let me pump your gas for you”. It was the sweetest thing and made my night.”

    Starbucks cup
“My 18-year-old daughter was at Starbucks, alone, the other night. A man came up to her and started talking to her. A barista handed her “an extra hot chocolate someone forgot to pick up.” How grateful I am for people who look out for other people!

Side note: She felt safe and did not remove the lid, but let them know. She said the whole team was watching over her the rest of her time there.

Thank you to the team at Starbucks on Staples and SPID in Corpus Christi.”

    Act of kindness
“Today on the streets of DOWNTOWN OKC, I passed a man simply asking for change as he held out an empty shoe polish canister. I had none, so I passed him and went on my way. On my return trip to the office, I found him and this woman sitting together. She did not give him change, she did not drop off a hot meal…..she sat down, cut her chicken wrap in half, and shared it with him. She did not leave, she sat and talked and asked genuine questions that many of us would ask while out to lunch with a friend. She did not treat him like a person to help, but a person to love…..so whoever you are lady, you get it.”
