A three and a half month old baby, whose mother was presumed dead after the earthquake in Turkey, has been reunited with her mom.
54 days ago, Vetin Bedgas had already spent 128 hours under the rubble of a damaged building following the devastation that killed many. Her mother Yasemin Begdas, who could not be found at the time, had also been pronounced dead after attempts to find her proved abortive.
Nonetheless there’s reason to be happy because it turns out her mother isn’t dead after all. Apparently, she was being treated for her injuries in a different hospital, according to Al Jazeera. Authorities have since carried DNA testing which confirmed that Yasemin is indeed the mother of Vetin.
