[dropcap]A[/dropcap] successful Christian entrepreneur is not a very common or accepted term among a number of Christians. You see, a number of Christians have a wrong notion about business. Business as it is today has gained a bad reputation because of many unscrupulous businessmen focused on profits with greed as the motive.
Nevertheless, the pathetic reality is we continue to crawl on our knees and beg executives for donations to our ministries. See how inconsistent our attitude is. We abhor businesses but depend on them for money. Christian business trusts and funds support most missions and church ministries.
So in this world of greed and unethical business practices how can you as a Christian stand up and do business? The bible is not against business but against sinful business practices. The Bible says that God frowns upon unethical, illegal, and deceptive business practices. However, he blesses a righteous businessperson.
You do not have to engage in sinful business to make money. God can help you succeed in business if you follow godly principles and practices. As a Christian entrepreneur, you need to get involved in the world. You are the light and salt to this earth. We should not hide behind our pious holy attitude and stay only as employees on a job.
Be brave and get out of hiding and start your own business ventures to make money. There are good programs available online. There is work at home opportunities that do not demand huge sums of capital or equipment. You can begin with a computer and an internet connection.
There are also free training courses if you are new. You can begin in your spare time and try to make easy money online. It is not difficult to earn as much or more like you made in a job. Remember as an employee you make money for some one else with your abilities and talents. Imagine doing the same for yourself and for the kingdom of God.
As a Christian you can make money if you put your mind to it. And to see for yourself how you multiplied the talents God gave you. You will be able to give to others. Only when you make more money than what you need can you give to others in need and to missions.
You do not need any special calling or talents. All you need is the recognition that God made you special and gave you talents. After all, He instructed Adam to take care of the earth, to be fruitful, and multiply.
Remember it is difficult to take care of the earth, be fruitful and especially multiply when you work as an employee for some one else all the days of your life. Get out of the rut working for others and get into your own business. God will help you multiply and prosper you to make money and be a blessing to many.
