[dropcap]I[/dropcap] want to thank God for everything he has done and is doing in my life. He has been so good to me and my family. But for God, I do not know where I would be. I came to America from South Korea in 1989. Life was good! I came from a family that did not lack and I married a husband that provided from me. I was under the impression that it will remain that way till my maker calls for me. Although I was born into a Christian home, I did not practice my faith like I ought to because everything was just too good to even stop and pray. My first two years of sojourn in America was wonderful and problem free. Life was great or so I thought! As the third year approached, all hell broke loose and hard times crept in like a thief in the night. I was more than dumbfounded. For the first time in my life, I found myself struggling. I began living a life I never dreamt was possible of happening to me. God began to deal with me. I had no choice but to look up to him and not man. He yanked me out of my comfortable zone to an unknown zone of hardship. I was in this wilderness for seven good years. During this time, God fed me his Word and gave me a deep revelation about his truth and not what men were interpreting as His truth. I realized everything belonged to God and he was capable of turning things around. By the seventh year of constant struggle to get on my feet, I was a changed person. Our good Lord had chased all forms of self from my life, broken me beyond recognition and I was transformed into a brand new creature in Christ Jesus.
I had tried different businesses in the DFW metroplex with my own strength but they never lasted even though they started out good. In this corner of my life, I made a vow to God that if he turned my life of struggling around, I will not stop talking about what he has done for me. After my seven years wilderness experience, my husband and I waited patiently on the Lord and he instructed us to start a donut shop. The interesting thing about it is that he led us to the particular location on Belt line road in Cedar Hill, Texas. On May 1, 2005, Donutlicious opened it\’s door to customers. We had the peace of God that surpasses all understanding that it was going to be well with our business. Indeed, all has been more than well with our business.
I had a dream where God revealed my husband and I leading people to Christ. After I woke up, my husband and I decided to use our business as a means of evangelism. Reaching and touching people one way or the other. Shortly after, a group of prayer intercessors visited our shop from the City of Cedar Hill and soaked it in prayers. I was convinced in my mind that God had something good in store for me and my family. During our first month of operation, we were shocked at how much we made. It was like heaven opened and poured the rain of favor and prosperity on us. People and businesses trooped into our shop and till date, we are still experiencing the goodness of God.
Today, I look back at my wilderness days and I thank God for giving me the grace to go through it. We have not known lack since we started this shop and by the grace of God, we shall know no lack, in Jesus name. If you are looking for good fresh donuts, you will find them in our store. We are located at 804 E. Belt line Rd, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. Phone number is (469) 272-0529.
I want to take this opportunity to encourage anyone reading this testimony to know that God must come first in your life and business. The same way he made a way for me is the same way he will make a way for you, in Jesus name. Join me in thanking God for his steadfast love that never ceases.
