A truly remarkable story of faith overtaking fear.
10-year-old Willie Myrick was kidnapped from his front yard in Atlanta. Willie’s faith and weapon of praise carried him through.
Willie began singing the song “Every Praise” by Hezekiah Walker. His kidnapper got fed up after 3 hours and threw him onto the street and drove away.
“Every praise is to our God,” the gospel song begins. “Every word of worship with one accord.”
Willie’s faith is a testimony about God’s power to deliver.
Although born to atheist parents, he was raised by his godmother Codetta Bateman. She often took him to church where he learned about God and developed a passion for the Bible.
