Do you have Faith or Fear?

“And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” (Mark 4:41).

When the disciples went to see Jesus and said, “Carest thou no that we perish,” you will notice Jesus did not talk to them. The reasons why many of you have prayed and not gotten answers from heaven is that you accused Him and you closed your heaven. Jesus did not talk to them. Instead, He arose, rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, “Peace be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful?” (v. 39-40).

Do you want to have peace? Remove fear. From now on, you must not be fearful. Fear is faith polluted. Fear is faith in the enemy. Faith is trust in God. When you fear, you are saying to God that the enemy has more power than He has. Faith means, no matter what happens, come storm, come wind, come high water, come the devil, come whatever may, God is with me and I will not fear. There are 365 fear not’s in the Bible, one for each day. God made provision to make sure that for every day of the year you have one “fear not’ covering the day.

The number one weapon of the enemy is fear. Once you fear, it cripples you. Then, you make mistakes, and fall into his trap. Fear is a decision; faith is also a decision. You choose to fear or you choose to have faith. You must not fear tomorrow. He said unto them, “why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” (v.40). Fear and faith are similar things; faith is positive and fear is negative.

And they feared again, this time exceedingly (v.41)!

    Prayer Points:

    • Father, in the name of Jesus, I will not fear, I will not fear the storm. I will not fear the water. I will not fear exceedingly. Fear, get away from me! Faith, arise in my spirit!

    • Father, fear does not belong to me, for You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of a sound mind. The greater one is on the inside of me than he that is in the world. Father, I thank You!

    • I will get there, I will prosper, I will flourish. I will be established. Your plan for my life shall be established. There shall be performance in my home. There shall be performance in my family. There shall be performance in my marriage. There shall be performance in my ministry. In my prayer life and all aspects of my life, there shall be performance, in Jesus’ name.
