What would you say about the Israelites in Egypt? When God was raining down plagues on Pharaoh and his people to force them to release Israel, the Land of Goshen, where the Israelites lived, was miraculously and mysteriously unfazed by the plagues. This was an undeniable display of the covenant of exemption. None of the punishment affected the Israelites. My God! Look at it here:
Exodus 11:4-7 (NIV) – “So Moses announced to Pharaoh, ‘This is what the LORD says: About midnight I will pass through Egypt. All the firstborn sons will die in every family in Egypt, from the oldest son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to the oldest son of the lowliest slave. Even the firstborn of the animals will die. Then a loud wail will be heard throughout the land of Egypt; there has never been such wailing before, and there never will be again. But among the Israelites, it will be so peaceful that not even a dog will bark. Then you will know that the LORD makes a distinction between the Egyptians and the Israelites.’”
Yes! Not even a dog barked in Goshen that night! There was absolute tranquility. While Egypt was filled with weeping, funerals, and mourning, Israel experienced peace, hope, and the anticipation of imminent deliverance.
God always makes a distinction between those who serve Him and the unrighteous. He does not destroy or punish both together. I am not saying the righteous do not suffer, but if you look closely, you will see the difference between the punishment of the unrighteous and the trials of a believer.
God’s Promise of Protection
He said that the world would always see the difference between those who serve Him and those who ignore or resist His words. I will not suffer or die like an unbeliever! In fact, God declared that the diseases and curses He brings upon the Egyptians (unbelievers) will not come upon us.
Examples of Covenant of Exemption
- Noah and his family were spared from the flood.
- Lot was rescued before the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
- Moses was exempted when God planned to start over with a new nation.
You will not die like or with unbelievers in Jesus’ name! God will exempt you and your household! From today, I connect you to that divine covenant that permanently excludes you from destruction.
Moses: The Power of Divine Favor
Even when God had enough of the stubbornness and disobedience of the Israelites and planned to destroy them in the wilderness, He quickly told Moses, “I will exempt you, preserve you, and make you a great nation.”
But Moses, a true intercessor and leader, rejected the offer and instead interceded for the rebellious Israelites. Imagine that!
Exodus 32:9-10 (NIV)
“Then the LORD said, ‘I have seen how stubborn and rebellious these people are. Now leave me alone so my fierce anger can blaze against them, and I will destroy them. Then I will make you, Moses, into a great nation.’”
Do you understand this? God planned to wipe out Israel, but His friend must be exempted! Your depth of relationship with God will exempt you from evil and destruction!

The Mystery of Job’s Servants: “I Am the Only One Who Escaped!”
Why was it that during the four stages of destruction that came upon Job’s children and possessions, one person always escaped to report the news? Did you notice that pattern?
Job 1:13-19 (NIV) – “One day when Job’s sons and daughters were feasting at the oldest brother’s house, a messenger arrived at Job’s home with this news: ‘Your oxen were plowing, with the donkeys feeding beside them, when the Sabeans raided us. They stole all the animals and killed all the farmhands. I am the only one who escaped to tell you.’”
While he was still speaking, another messenger arrived:
- Fire from heaven burned the sheep and shepherds—but one escaped.
- Chaldean raiders stole the camels and killed the servants—but one escaped.
- **A mighty wind collapsed the house, killing all of Job’s children—but one escaped.
Do you see the pattern? “I am the only one who escaped to tell you!”
We shall escape to tell the story in the name of Jesus! Just like the servants of Lot, we will survive. You will overcome this problem. We are escaping in the mighty name of Jesus!
Psalm 124:7 (NIV) – “We have escaped like a bird from the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped!”
Whether it is:
- Trials and temptations
- Satanic attacks
- Evil plans and persecution
- Accidents and storms of life
- Attacks on your joy, position, and possessions
We will survive and escape them all! No satanic raider or enemy shall have power over us. We shall not be destroyed!
Again, the Psalmist declared: “The trap is broken, and we have escaped!” Praise God! You will escape!
Jesus’ Divine Exemption
When King Herod ordered the massacre of thousands of Jewish male babies in Bethlehem to kill Jesus, He was mysteriously and miraculously exempted through angelic intervention and divine direction.
If Jesus was divinely exempted from destruction, YOU TOO will be exempted from every evil plan!
Share this message with others and walk in your divine protection! God is exempting you from every destruction in the mighty name of Jesus! Till next time, God bless you!
