Alleluia! Christ Is Risen!
“Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. 2 So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”
3 So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. 4 Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5 He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, 7 as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. 8 Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. 9 (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead)” John 20: 1-9.
Today is Easter Sunday, the special day the Lord has made. Therefore, rejoice in the Lord’s resurrection. As my teacher and friend advised me so many years ago, start the day on a very positive note.
Go to Service in the morning. Appreciate and thank God for all His mercies and favor. As you eat and drink, make sure you share what you have with those who do not have. Ignore for once your Doctor’s prescription. Buy a choice drink, toast, and make merry with family and friends. Select and play some good songs and dance your sorrows away.
Avoid unnecessary meetings. Repent from all your sins. Reconcile with those who offended you and those you offended. Learn to be charitable and humble. Visit the elderly and sick people around you in the evening. Gather members of your family together at night and tell them how you love and cherish them. Pray together with your family members and admonish them to be of good behavior.
Resolve to be good to your colleagues and friends, and if possible, make new friends. Impact positively on people that come your way and be the living Bible they can read. Let your lifestyle always reflect the goodness of the Lord. Give hope to the hopeless and let many see in you the resurrected Christ. Do not allow anything to trouble your mind anymore. He has saved you by His resurrection power. Alleluia! Christ Is Risen. Be safe and alert. It’s well.
